TEMPO.COJakarta - Seven foreign nationals (WNA) were arrested for selling products online at an e-commerce product exhibition or marketplace at a company in Anyer, Banten, Indonesia. Three of them are citizens of Myanmar, two are citizens of Vietnam, one is a citizen of Laos, and one is a citizen of the Philippines with the initials HGM.

The Head of Intelligence and Enforcement Section of the Immigration Office in Serang, Maximilianus Kolbe Kristanto Lake, said the seven foreign nationals were arrested in an immigration surveillance operation at a company in Anyer, Banten on September 30, 2025.

According to Maximilianus, at that time, a total of 9 WNA were participating in the e-commerce product sales organized by the company. "Based on public reports, the Inteldakim team found the activities of 9 WNA holding passports from Taiwan, Laos, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Myanmar," said Maximilianus on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Following further investigation, he said, out of the 9 WNA, 7 individuals were suspected of conducting beauty product sales training activities within the company using Visit Stay Permits or visit visas with index C1 and C2. "Normally, in order to attend a course or training, they should use a visit visa with index C9," said Maximilianus.

After being apprehended, the seven foreign nationals underwent examination and detention in the Serang Immigration detention room. They were then gradually repatriated to their home countries.

The Class I Non TPI Serang Immigration Office took immigration law enforcement measures in the form of Administrative Immigration Measures (TAK) by deporting the seven foreign nationals who were proven to have violated their stay permits.

"The deportation process has been carried out gradually since last night (Monday night, October 13, 2025)," said the Head of the Serang Immigration Office, Igak Artawan.

Igak stated that the deportation and denial were carried out in accordance with the provisions of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration, specifically Article 75, as a form of the government's commitment to maintain order and the sovereignty of the national territory from violations of stay permits by foreigners.
