Bank Indonesia Reports Rp1 Trillion in Foreign Capital Inflows This Week

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded a Rp1 trillion inflow of foreign capital into the domestic market during the fifth week of October 2025. This figure is based on transaction data from October 27 to 30, 2025.

Ramdan Denny Prakoso, the Executive Director of BI's Communication Department, stated that during that period, non-residents made a net purchase of Rp4.4 trillion in the stock market. "As well as a net sale of Rp3.23 trillion in the government bond market and Rp0.17 trillion in the Indonesian Rupiah Securities," Denny said in an official statement on Friday, October 31, 2025.

From the beginning of the year until October 30, 2025, foreign capital in the stock market recorded a net sale of Rp46.17 trillion. Then, in the government bond market, non-residents were recorded as having made a net purchase of Rp3.89 trillion. Meanwhile, in the Indonesian Rupiah Securities market, non-residents recorded a net sale of Rp135.86 trillion.

BI also recorded the five-year Indonesia credit default swap (CDS) premium as of October 30, 2025, at 73.07 bps. Compared to October 24, 2025, this figure decreased by 78.95 bps.

In trading this week, meanwhile, the Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) closed at 8,163.875 — down 1.3 percent from 8,271,722 the previous week. Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad, the corporate secretary of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), stated that its market capitalization decreased by 2.48 percent, dropping from Rp15.234 trillion to Rp14.857 trillion.

"The highest increase occurred in the average daily trading volume of the stock exchange this week at 3.72 percent, reaching 31.61 billion shares from 30.47 billion shares last week," Kautsar said in a press release on Friday, October 31, 2025.

Meanwhile, the average daily transaction value on the stock exchange increased by 1.55 percent to Rp22.63 trillion from Rp22.28 trillion last week. The average daily transaction frequency decreased by 1.79 percent, dropping from 2.37 million transactions the previous week to 2.32 million this week.
