BMKG: Dense Clouds Over Jakarta and Surroundings, Thunderstorms Possible in Some Areas

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts that Jakarta and Tangerang will be dominated by thick cloud cover on Friday, April 4th, 2025. Meanwhile, there is a potential for light rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Depok, Bogor, and Bekasi in the afternoon until evening.

Jakarta and Tangerang are expected to get rained on in several areas. These conditions are monitored through the official website bmkg.go.id and BMKG's official Instagram.

At 4:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesia Time), light rain is expected in West Jakarta, while South Jakarta and East Jakarta may experience moderate rain. Overall, the temperature in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta is expected to range from 24-31 degrees Celsius, while the wind speed is around 1-13 kilometers per hour.

Furthermore, in the West Java region, specifically in Bogor Regency and Bogor City, there is a potential for light rain accompanied by thunderstorms from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM WIB. Moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms will shower Bekasi City and Depok City at 4:00 PM WIB. There is a chance of light rain from 16:00 to 19:00 WIB in Bekasi Regency.

The temperature in Bogor Regency is around 19-31 degrees Celsius, while in other areas it ranges from 20-33 degrees Celsius. The wind speed is expected to range from 5-9 kilometers per hour.

In the Banten region, specifically in Tangerang Regency and Tangerang City, it is expected to be cloudy, while in South Tangerang City, there will be light rain. The temperature is expected to range from 24-25 degrees Celsius with air humidity around 91-96 percent.
