TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto is set to reshuffle his Red and White Cabinet at the State Palace, Central Jakarta, on Monday afternoon, September 8, 2025.
According to State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, four ministers and one coordinating minister will be replaced.
The replaced ministers are Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan; Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie Setiadi; Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo; Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani; and Minister of Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Abdul Kadir Karding.
The cabinet also welcomes one new ministry, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
"Due to continuous evaluations," said Prasetyo about the reshuffle considerations when met at the State Palace on Monday.
News about the Red and White cabinet reshuffle emerged following the arrest of former Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in a sting operation at his office on Thursday, August 21 2025.
After Immanuel was named a suspect, President Prabowo Subianto immediately dismissed Immanuel Ebenezer, familiarly known as Noel, from his post as deputy minister. The dismissal took place after the anti-graft body named Noel a suspect in an extortion case against companies processing occupational safety and health (OSH) certificates at the Ministry of Manpower.
