TEMPO.CO, JakartaGoogle is once again enlivening the Christmas season by bringing various attractive features through Santa Tracker. Users who type keywords such as "Merry Christmas," "Christmas Greetings," or "Christmas Day" in the Google search bar will be greeted with Christmas-themed animations in the bottom right of the screen.

Clicking the Christmas tree or gift icon will fill the screen with an animation of Santa Claus riding a hot air balloon. This animation directs users to the Santa Tracker page, which contains various Christmas-themed activities.

The Santa Tracker itself was first launched in December 2004 and has been regularly updated by the Google team ever since. One of the main features of Santa Tracker is the ability to track Santa Claus's location in real-time.

Users can view Santa's current location and next destination, as well as a live video of his route and the estimated arrival time at each location. Additionally, the total distance Santa has traveled and the number of gifts he has distributed are also displayed.

Users can also use Google Assistant to find out Santa's whereabouts. As cited by Tech Crunch, users can ask, "Hey Google, where is Santa?" or "What's the latest news in the North Pole?" which will connect to Google's North Pole Newscast broadcast, where users can hear about Santa's activities and the elves on that day. Google Assistant also allows users to call Santa directly.

Diverse Mini Games

Furthermore, Santa Tracker also offers various Christmas-themed mini games. Some fun games to try include Santa Selfie, where users can take a selfie with Santa and the elves; Elf Maker, which allows users to design their own elf; and Ollie Under The Sea, which takes players on an adventure with a narwhal to collect Christmas gifts underwater.

Other games include Code Lab, where users are asked to connect puzzles or create the correct path to obtain Christmas gifts; Railroad Ride, where users must give Christmas gifts to the elves while riding a roller coaster; or Elf Ski, where users must collect Christmas presents while skiing.

Additionally, there are other mini-games such as Gumball Tilt, Present Bounce, Snowball Storm, Present Drop, Build & Bolt, Wrap Battle, Code Boogie, Rudolph Racer, and many more.

To try them out, users can directly visit the website santatracker.google.com on desktop or mobile devices.

Google also offers a Santa Tracker app available for download on Google Play. This platform has a navigation system that is very easy to use. Similar to Google Maps, it has a map display that can be zoomed in or out. You can also drag the map or use the touchscreen to swipe the view. Users can also access short, animated videos depicting the elves' busy preparations for Christmas.

In addition to entertainment, The Santa Tracker also gives users the opportunity to learn about Christmas traditions from different countries. Users can explore unique Christmas traditions from around the world. For example, the Philippines is known for having the longest Christmas season, South Korea celebrates Christmas as a "romantic holiday," and Mexico celebrates Christmas by smashing pinatas.

Users can explore any country they want to know more about. This provides an educational experience that enhances knowledge of how Christmas is celebrated around the world.
