Citibank, N.A or Citi Indonesia booked a net profit of Rp1.3 trillion in the second quarter of 2025. CEO of Citi Indonesia, Batara Sianturi, stated that this achievement was supported by an 11 percent year-on-year increase in net interest income and a rising low cost of fund ratio, reaching 75 percent.
"This achievement demonstrates the resilience of our business amidst market dynamics and global economic uncertainty," Batara said during a press conference on the economic and financial performance of Citi Indonesia in Jakarta on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
Meanwhile, during the second quarter of 2025, Citibank recorded a 13.6 percent return on equity (ROE) and a 3.6 percent return on assets (ROA). According to Batara, these figures still exceed the minimum requirements set by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
Other performance indicators, the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and the Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) of Citi Indonesia were recorded at 295 percent and 160 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, the minimum capital adequacy ratio (CAR) was 40.1 percent, up from 36.2 percent in the previous year.
In the banking business line throughout the second quarter of 2025, Citi Indonesia still recorded positive revenue growth. "Citi Indonesia remains committed to providing banking services and solutions to various clients, ranging from local and multinational companies, financial institutions, to the public sector," he said.
In the Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) business, the second quarter of 2025 showed positive growth according to Batara. Driven by a 17 percent increase in foreign exchange clearing volumes and an 8 percent increase in commercial card usage.
