TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated four ministers and one deputy minister in a ceremony at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Monday afternoon, September 8, 2025.
The appointments were made under Presidential Decision Number 86 of 2025, naming Mochamad Irfan Yusuf as Minister of Hajj and Umrah; Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak as Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah; Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa as Minister of Finance; Mukhtarudin as Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI); and Ferry Juliantono as Minister of Cooperatives.
All five were sworn in by President Prabowo according to the Islamic faith. In unison, they recited:
"I swear by Allah, that I will be faithful to the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia of 1945, and will uphold all laws and regulations with the utmost sincerity for the sake of my devotion to the nation and state."
The ministers and deputy minister also pledged to maintain the ethics of their positions and carry out their duties responsibly and to the best of their abilities.
Ahead of the inauguration, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi noted that the ceremony followed a cabinet reshuffle replacing four ministers and one coordinating minister.
The outgoing officials are Budi Gunawan, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs; Budi Arie, Minister of Cooperatives; Dito Ariotedjo, Minister of Youth and Sports; Sri Mulyani, Minister of Finance; and Abdul Kadir Karding, Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI).
