The weekend weather forecast for the last weekend of the year in Jakarta and its surrounding areas is expected to be accompanied by rain. The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm and strong winds will pour down in the afternoon and evening on Sunday, December 27, 2025.
Referring to the latest 24-hour weather forecast from BMKG, light rain is still falling in parts of South Jakarta, East Jakarta, and Bogor Regency last Saturday night. The rain gradually subsides across Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta) area after the change of day-possibly only in the Thousand Islands.
From 7:00 AM to noon, rain is also predicted to fall in South Jakarta, while other areas will be cloudy. The areas hit by rain will increase towards midday. The rain will spread to East Jakarta, Depok City, the entire Bogor, and the entire Tangerang, Bekasi City, and South Tangerang City.
Meanwhile, in the afternoon until close to 7:00 PM, light rain is still expected to wet North Jakarta, Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, Bekasi Regency and City, Depok City, Bogor City, and Tangerang City. During the same period, BMKG detected the potential for heavier rain in West Jakarta, South Jakarta, Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang City, and Bogor Regency.
The air temperature in Jabodetabek ranges from 24-30 degrees Celsius all day today. Only the Bogor area has an air temperature that can drop to 20 degrees Celsius. With the rainy conditions, the air humidity in Jakarta and its four satellite cities is around 72-96 percent. The wind is blowing to the west at a speed of up to 42 kilometers per hour.
