TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - All the woes and foes rejoice as the somber of fictitious Nevermore Academy officially resumes with Wednesday Season 2. In this new chapter, the black-pigtailed, mysterious-looking high school student, Wednesday Addams, darkens the Netflix screen with 8 episodes split into Part 1 and Part 2.
First premiered on Nov. 23, 2022, the first look of Nevermore Academy and its hidden, obscured mysteries in Season 1 rightfully earned accolades from critics and devoted viewers. Now, the Emmy-award-winning series is set to follow a darker path of Wednesday’s shadowy world, unraveling her evolution not just as a student at the Academy, but also as a loyal friend and complex daughter.
Release Dates of Wednesday Season 2
Currently streaming on Netflix, Episode 1 of the Wednesday Season 2 debuted on Aug 6. Titled “Here We Woe Again.”, the return to Nevermore Academy is opened with familiar faces of Season 1, including Morticia, Gomez, and Pugsley of the Addams Family.
With only four gripping episodes dropping in Part 1 of Season 2, co-creators and showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar made it clear that they want fans hanging on the edge of their seats. As revealed by Netflix’s Tudum, the dynamic duo intentionally carved Wednesday’s dark and twisty saga into two thrilling chapters, with Part 2 set to premiere on September 3.
Casts of Wednesday Season 2
Part 1 of Wednesday Season 2 unlocks a darker and more expansive realm within the Addams Family universe. At the center of the attention, Jenna Ortega leads the vision of this season with eerie twists.
Diving deeper into the macabre aesthetic, Wednesday Season 2 will return with a chaos of Myers (Enid Sinclair), Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgia Farmer (Ajax), Dorobantu (Thing), and Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galphin).
Other standout names joining the star-studded lineup of guest appearances include Haley Joel Osment (Kansas City Scalper, serial killer), Joanna Lumley (Grandma Hester Frump), Steve Buscemi, Anthony Michael Hall, Billie Piper, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, Evie Templeton, and possibly more.

Upon performing at Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event on May 31, Lady Gaga confirmed her appearance on Wednesday Season 2 as a legendary Nevermore Academy teacher, Rosaline Rotwood.
The singer of “Abracadabra” is slated to bring her supernatural charm to the screen as she crosses paths with Wednesday.
The Cliffhanger of Wednesday Season 2 Part 1
Part 1 of Wednesday Season 2 kicks off with a major twist as Wednesday is stripped of her psychic powers. But the tension only escalates by Episode 4’s end. With nothing but her razor-sharp instincts, the black-pigtailed Gen Z detective plunges into a chilling murder mystery and unearths a trail of outcast deaths buried deep in the past.
In an interview with Netflix’s Tudum, Millar stated the planning of lingering suspense, “We felt that if we were going to split the season, then the end of the fourth episode needed to be something amazing; a cliff-hanger to bring the audience back for the next chapter. That was an exciting challenge.”
