TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the majority of the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas will experience light rain starting this evening, Friday, August 29, 2025. The air humidity in these areas varies from 60 to 90 percent.
According to the latest weather forecast from BMKG, light rain is expected to fall in South, East, and North Jakarta from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM WIB (Indonesian Western Time). Meanwhile, it is likely to be predominantly overcast in West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands.
The air temperature in Jakarta is estimated to be around 25-33 degrees Celsius, meaning the air could feel very sultry before the rain. The highest wind speed is 11 kilometers per hour.
Light rain is also likely to fall in Bogor Regency and City from 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM later tonight. The same prediction applies to Bekasi Regency and City, as well as Depok City, especially starting from 4:00 PM.
The temperature in Bogor Regency ranges from 19 to 32 degrees Celsius, while in other Jabodetabek areas, it ranges from 20 to 34 degrees Celsius. BMKG predicts rain in the Bogor area, accompanied by thunder and strong winds.
In Banten, overcast weather is expected to persist in Tangerang Regency until Friday night. Meanwhile, light rain is expected in Tangerang City and South Tangerang City. The temperature in these three areas is estimated to range from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
