TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the region of Bogor, West Java, will continue to be showered with rain from morning until late evening today, Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Other areas in Greater Jakarta will also experience rain, but from noon until the afternoon. The air humidity in this metropolitan area is around 60-96 percent.
According to the latest weather forecast from BMKG, the weather in almost the entire Greater Jakarta area will be partly cloudy from 7:00 AM to noon. The potential for light to moderate rain is only in Bogor Regency, West Java.
The areas with the potential for light to moderate rain cover East Jakarta, South Jakarta, Tangerang City and Regency, South Tangerang City, Bogor City, Depok City, as well as Bekasi Regency. Meanwhile, Bogor Regency is expected to see heavier rainfall than the surrounding areas. BMKG also issues a warning about rain potentially accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Tuesday night, heading into Wednesday, light to moderate rain is predicted to continue in parts of Jakarta, Tangerang City and Regency, South Tangerang City, and Bogor Regency. Partly cloudy weather is expected early Wednesday, except in the Thousand Islands, where light rain is possible.
The air temperature in most areas of Jakarta and its surroundings ranges from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius. With the wet weather forecast, the air temperature in all of Bogor is lower than in other Greater Jakarta areas, around 20-30 degrees Celsius.
