TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Anticipation of rain is expected to occur in Jakarta today, Thursday, December 4, 2025. According to the BMKG weather forecast, rain accompanied by thunder is expected in North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands.
Meanwhile, for other areas of Jakarta, rain is expected to fall with light intensity. Therefore, today's weather will be similar to the past few days, characterized by rain and thunderstorms.
The same applies to the surrounding areas of Jakarta. The BMKG weather forecast reveals the potential for light rain in all areas today, except for Bogor City and South Tangerang City. The latter two are expected to have moderate to heavy rain.
Based on BMKG data, rainy weather has once again covered the Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta) area since last Saturday. On that day, very heavy rain was recorded in Depok City and heavy rain occurred in parts of the Bogor Regency bordering Depok City. Also in Bekasi City and parts of the Bekasi Regency bordering it.
Then, on Sunday, November 30, heavy rain almost covered the entire Bogor Regency and Bogor City. On that day, moderate-intensity rain had started to spread more widely in Jakarta, precisely in East Jakarta and parts of South Jakarta.
On Monday and Tuesday, heavy rain was recorded in several locations, as reported from observation stations in Jagorawi, Bogor Regency and Halim PK, East Jakarta. Heavy rain was also reported in Tangerang Regency and Bekasi Regency. On Wednesday, heavy rain also fell in parts of the Jabodetabek area.
