TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian National Police have deployed 852 personnel to secure the protest organized by the Alliance of Muslims for Palestine (AMBP). The demonstration took place at Southeast Monas Intersection, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, October 11, 2025.
"The security force in Central Jakarta consists of 852 personnel," said Inspector Second Class Ruslan Basuki, the Public Relations Officer of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, on Saturday, October 11, 2025.
Ruslan claimed that security measures would be carried out persuasively. He urged the demonstrators to behave in an orderly manner. He asked them not to provoke each other or confront the security officers.
"Feel free to give speeches in an orderly manner, refrain from provocation, resisting officers, and let us avoid actions such as burning tires, closing roads, or damaging public facilities," Ruslan said.
He believes that expressing opinions in public is a right guaranteed by law. However, protests must be peaceful.
"Let us maintain a conducive atmosphere so that the message conveyed can be received positively," he said.
