NETFLIX has released the first glimpse of the live action One Piece Season 2, or One Piece: Into The Grandline, scheduled to premiere in 2026. The 1.5-minute video was aired during the annual One Piece Day celebration in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
At the same event, Netflix also announced that the pirate adventure series will continue to a third season. One Piece Season 3 will commence production in Cape Town, South Africa, by the end of this year. Ian Stokes will join Joe Tracz as co-showrunner for the season.

According to Netflix's official statement, One Piece Season 2 will introduce fiercer enemies and the most dangerous adventures. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew will set sail towards the Grandline, a legendary sea where danger and wonder await at every turn.
As they explore the unexpected world in search of the greatest treasure in the world, they will encounter strange islands and a host of tough new enemies. "Everything I do, anywhere I go, it's all for One Piece," said Luffy.
New Cast Joining One Piece Season 2

After previously announcing the character Tony Tony Chopper voiced by Mikaela Hoover, fans are now shown visuals of several other new cast members in this second season. This includes Lera Abova as Miss All-Sunday, Callum Kerr as Captain Smoker, and Brendan Murray as Brogy. Bridgerton star Charithra Chandran transforms into Nefertari Vivi alias Miss Wednesday with her iconic blue hair.
"The casting of the actors was done from Japan through photos and videos, but seeing them all in person convinced me: They are truly the perfect choices!" wrote One Piece's anime creator Eiichiro Oda in a letter shared with fans.

Shooting for One Piece Season 2 has been completed. The cast commemorated the end of production with a special behind-the-scenes photo. The photo shows the five main cast members, namely Inaki Godoy (Monkey D. Luffy), Mackenyu (Roronoa Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji). Oda revealed that the shooting process for the new season went smoothly.
