TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana stated that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will not conduct a reshuffle of the Red and White Cabinet. Prabowo conveyed this during the closed plenary Cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Widiyanti mentioned that Prabowo does not want to shuffle the cabinet because he is pleased with the performance of his ministers. "Prabowo is happy and satisfied with the work of his ministers," she said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Similar statements were delivered by the Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya. He said that Prabowo will not conduct a reshuffle of the Red and White Cabinet. However, he urged the media to inquire with the State Secretary, Minister Prasetyo Hadi.
Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), declined to comment on the matter. Cabinet reshuffle is the president's prerogative.
Nevertheless, the eldest son of former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono stated that Prabowo praised the work of the ministers as a team. Prabowo said that for the past 10 months, his ministers have been working in the correct direction. "Prabowo stated that so far we are on the right track and there is progress," he said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Prabowo also advised his aides not to be complacent. AHY stated that he will continue to oversee various aspects of development to achieve Prabowo's priority agenda. "And to enhance the quality of human resources through education and health," he said.
Prabowo's statement was revealed after he exercised his prerogative as president to grant amnesty to former PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Following this announcement, the Secretary General of the Central Board of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, and the State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hari held a meeting with the Chair of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Megawati Soekarnoputri, in Bali at the end of July.
The photo of the meeting was uploaded on Dasco's Instagram account, @sufmi_dasco, on Thursday, July 31, 2025. When asked, Dasco explained that his and Prasetyo's visit aimed to convey a message from President Prabowo Subianto to Megawati.
"One of them is a congratulations message for the congress because indeed, PDIP did not invite external parties, including the chairpersons of political parties. Thus, on that occasion, Mr. Prabowo, as the Chair of Gerindra, left a message to congratulate the congress," Dasco said at the House of Representatives Complex in Jakarta on Monday, August 4, 2025.
