TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to receive an honorary visit from the Speaker of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Wang Huning, at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
"President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to receive an honorary visit at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, December 4, 2025," the Presidential Secretariat confirmed in a statement on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
Wang Huning arrived in Indonesia on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten Province. He was greeted by Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Eddy Soeparno, Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun, and Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Wang Lutong.
In addition to meeting the President, Wang Huning will visit the parliamentary complex in Senayan to hold discussions with the leaders of the MPR, the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), and the Regional Representative Council (DPD).
The Presidential Secretariat reported that these high-level meetings will serve as a platform for dialogue on strengthening relations between the respective legislative institutions, expanding economic and socio-cultural partnerships, and exploring collaboration opportunities on regional and global issues.
The Jakarta Metropolitan Police will deploy 2,029 joint personnel to secure the two-day official visit on December 3–4, 2025.
"We will deploy more than two thousand personnel, working in synergy with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and all relevant stakeholders to ensure the safety and smooth running of activities during the delegation's stay in Jakarta," said Chief of Public Relations for the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, in a press release on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
The delegation comprises 74 individuals, including core delegates, accompanying staff, security personnel, media crew, and air crew. Security measures will focus on key locations such as Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Hotel Shangri-La, the Parliament Building, Plataran GBK Urban Forest, and the Merdeka Palace.
Budi stated that the police have also prepared a traffic engineering scheme to be applied situationally to mitigate congestion during the delegation's movements across the city.
