TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Atletico Madrid defeated Sevilla 3-1 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium in Sevilla on Sunday, courtesy of two goals from Alex Baena and one from Ademola Lookman, while Miguel Sierra scored a consolation goal for the hosts.
Atletico Madrid climbed to the top of the standings with seven points, while Sevilla dropped to fifth place with six points.
Atletico took an early lead in the fourth minute when Alex Baena converted a pass from Lee Kang-in into a goal.
*Los Rojiblancos* doubled their lead in the 26th minute through Ademola Lookman, who scored following a pass from Pablo Barrios.
Diego Simeone's squad found the net again in the 33rd minute with Alex Baena's second goal of the match.
Atletico continued to dominate in the second half but failed to add to their tally.
Sevilla reduced the deficit to 1-3 in the 66th minute when Miguel Sierra scored after pouncing on a rebound inside the Atletico penalty area.
