Big Bad Wolf 2025 Returns to Jakarta with 5 Million Books

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The international book bazaar Big Bad Wolf (BBW) Jakarta 2025 was opened on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Hall 5-7 Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK 2), Tangerang, Banten. The exhibition presents 5 million books of various genres from local and international publishers. With a total weight of 2,500 tons, this is the largest book bazaar of BBW during 2025.

Andrew Yap, the founder of BBW Books, said that BBW will have more books and literacy tourism programs this year, along with some surprises. "We want to remind you that reading is an exciting and inspiring adventure," he said during the exhibition opening.

Director of BBW Indonesia, Marthius Wandi Budianto, said that this year, BBW comes with a new spirit: "Reading is cool, fun, and enjoyable." He hopes that the presence of the BBW book exhibition can encourage the improvement of literacy among the people of Indonesia.

The International Book Bazaar (BBW) Jakarta runs until November 2, 2025. It is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. WIB (Western Indonesia Time), except on Fridays and Saturdays. The book bazaar is open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday.

Visitors can enter the bazaar area for free to enjoy a variety of books, including children's books, novels, self-help books, reference books, and comics. In addition, visitors can take advantage of book purchase discounts of up to 90 percent and participate in contests with prizes such as electric cars and holiday packages during the bazaar.

How to Get to BBW Jakarta 2025

BBW 2025 is held at NICE, located in the CBD PIK 2, which can be accessed by private or public transportation. If using private vehicles, NICE can be accessed via the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) toll road and exit at the Pantai Indah Kapuk toll gate. After that, follow the road until you arrive at NICE.

If taking the Jakarta Inner Ring Road, follow the road towards Sedyatmo and exit at Kataraja. After that, follow the road towards CBD PIK 2. If taking the Kunciran toll road, follow the route towards Cengkareng Sedyatmo and exit at the Kataraja gate, then follow the road towards PIK 2.

Transjakarta bus users can board at Blok M or Balai Kota. Those departing from Blok M should take bus T31 to PIK 2. Those departing from Balai Kota should take bus 1A to Tzu-Chi, where they can transfer to bus T31. After that, alight at the PIK 2 shelter.

If you want to take the train, get off at Kota Station and take Transjakarta Bus 1A. Meanwhile, if taking the MRT, you can alight at ASEAN Station and then take Transjakarta T31. A PIK Shuttle Bus will run a route around the PIK 1 and 2 areas from the last Transjakarta stop.
