TEMPO.CO, Jakarta More than thirty years have slipped by since the FIFA World Cup 1994 set Los Angeles aglow. Now, the world’s biggest football stage returns, grander in scale, louder in spirit, and spanning an entire continent.

While the final won’t land in Los Angeles this time, a wave of football fever will sweep through the city. With matches scheduled, the stadium will roar to life. Boulevards will hum with anticipation. And supporters from every corner of the globe will converge beneath the golden California sun.

Whether you’re chasing the thrill of live matches, diving into vibrant fan zones, or simply absorbing the atmosphere, Los Angeles is gearing up for a World Cup celebration that extends far beyond the boundaries of the game.

What stadium will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup in LA?

To be exact, FIFA revealed "Los Angeles Stadium" as the official venue for the 2026 World Cup. For a more recognizable name, the futuristic venue is widely known as SoFi Stadium, home to the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.

Set in Inglewood, it anchors a high-energy strip of entertainment. The Forum hums just across the street, while the Intuit Dome rises to the south as the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers.

On a clear run, the Los Angeles International Airport is only minutes away. But that also means traffic could be a nightmare. A short drive can stretch, and journeys from the city’s most iconic neighborhoods often take longer than expected.

How to get to the SoFi Stadium for the 2026 FIFA World Cup?

By car

For the weeks ahead, SoFi Stadium prepares for an onslaught of global fans during the FIFA World Cup 2026. As the crowds surge, so will the costs. According to TimeOut, parking alone could climb as high as $100, or even $1,000 per spot, depending on demand and location.

Looking nearby won’t necessarily save you. Off-site lots and garages within walking distance can still cost anywhere between $110 and $348.

By public transportation

For the FIFA World Cup 2026, reaching SoFi Stadium could be as easy as a $1.75 ride. From Union Station to the Third Street Promenade, and from LAX/Metro Transit Center to Downtown Long Beach, direct buses will carry fans straight toward the action, with additional pickup points spread across the San Fernando Valley and nearby neighborhoods.

To meet the surge, Los Angeles Metro is ramping up operations. More than 100 school buses will be deployed under the “Hat Trick” plan, alongside support from over 10 regional transit agencies, according to AOL.

Service is designed with matchday flow in mind, starting up to four hours before kickoff and running until two hours after the final whistle.
