Indonesia's Patimban Port 72% Complete, PT PP Aims for Ahead-of-Schedule Finish

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia’s state-owned construction company PT PP (Persero) Tbk announced plans to accelerate the completion of Phase I-2 Package 6 of the Patimban Port project in Subang, West Java, one of the country’s key National Strategic Projects valued at Rp5.48 trillion.

According to the company, the project has reached 72.89 percent completion and is on track to finish ahead of schedule.

PT PP’s Corporate Secretary Joko Raharjo said the construction progress reflects the company’s commitment to quality, safety, and timely execution.

“We are optimistic that the Patimban Port project will be completed ahead of schedule with excellent quality and strict adherence to international health, safety, and environmental standards,” Joko said in a statement published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Saturday, November 8, 2025.

He added that Patimban Port is set to become Indonesia’s primary maritime logistics hub, capable of handling up to 7.5 million TEUs annually. The port will play a crucial role in supporting export-import flows and boosting the manufacturing sector across West Java.

“PT PP’s success in managing such a large and complex project reaffirms its position as a national contractor operating at international standards. On time, efficient, and high-quality,” Joko said.

Despite challenges in the supply of reclamation materials caused by mining permit closures in the Subang area, PT PP maintained progress through close coordination with local authorities and strategic partners.

The company also implemented a digital project management system to improve efficiency, transparency, and cost control.

The Patimban project has earned both national and international recognition. PT PP received the RoSPA Gold Award in 2024 and 2025 and achieved five million working hours without a Lost Time Accident (LTA).

“This achievement demonstrates PT PP’s consistency in maintaining safety, quality, and productivity, proving that an Indonesian construction company can deliver world-class infrastructure projects,” Joko said.
