TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto welcomed 12 ambassadors from friendly nations at Merdeka Palace in Central Jakarta, on Friday, November 7, 2025. The 12 ambassadors came to present their letters of credence to the President.
Among the ambassadors were the Ambassador of Poland to Indonesia, Barbara Szymanowska, the Ambassador of Kuwait, Khalid Jassim Alyassin, the Ambassador of Solomon Islands, Gladys Kamia Isihanua, the Ambassador of Pakistan, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, the Ambassador of Ireland, Sharon Ann Lennon, the Ambassador of Georgia, Tornike Nozadze, and the Ambassador of Spain, Bernardo de Sicard Escoda.
Subsequently, the Ambassador of Yemen to Indonesia, Salem Ahmed Balfakeeh, the Ambassador of Mexico, Francisco de la Torre Galindo, the Ambassador of Germany, Ralf Beste, the Ambassador of Luxembourg, Patrick Hemmer, and the Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Muhammetnyyas Mashalov.
Barbara Szymanowska arrived first at 12:45 PM. The protocol team welcomed her. The Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres) in red and black uniforms greeted her. Then, the Paspampres carried the Polish national flag to the center of the field.
Barbara was greeted with the national anthem and the Polish flag. Traffic on Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara was stopped while each country's national anthem was played. Barbara then stood in front of the courtyard as the anthem was played. Then, she entered through the veranda of the Merdeka Palace.
A few minutes later, the Ambassador of Kuwait, Khalid Jassim Alyassin, arrived. He was greeted by the Paspampres honor guard and stood listening to Kuwait's national anthem being played.
The ambassadors of friendly nations arrived at Merdeka Palace one after the other. They will present their letters of credence and full powers to President Prabowo. These new ambassadors will represent friendly nations, replacing their predecessors.
