TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Young Indonesian racer Kiandra Ramadhipa emerged victorious in Race 2 of the 2026 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup at Germany's Sachsenring circuit on Sunday, July 12, marking his second win of the season and moving him up to third in the standings.
Starting from third on the grid, the 16-year-old Sleman-based teen made a strong launch and managed to maintain his lead. Ramadhipa engaged in a fierce battle with several rivals, including David Gonzalez and Fynn Kratochwil.
Throughout the race, Ramadhipa exchanged the lead with Gonzalez multiple times, briefly dropping to third place before regaining the lead and maintaining his advantage until lap 14.
The race was halted after a crash involving Fernando Bujosa and Benat Fernandez. Race officials waved the red flag and declared the final results based on the final position on lap 14.
This decision secured Ramadhipa's victory in Race 2 at the Sachsenring. Yaroslav Karpushin finished second, while Fynn Kratochwil completed the podium in third.
This result marked Ramadhipa's second victory in the 2026 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, having also won Race 2 at the Jerez round on April 26. He finished fifth in Race 1 at the Sachsenring on Saturday, July 11.
The 25 points earned from this victory bumps up Ramadhipa's points to 101 in total, moving him up to third place in the 2026 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup standings, keeping him in contention for the championship title this season.
