TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The operator of MR DIY stores in Indonesia, PT Data Intiguna Yasa Tbk (MDIY), known as MR DIY, has achieved a revenue of Rp 3.7 trillion in the first semester of 2025, a 16.5 percent increase from the same period last year, with a total of 47.6 million transactions.
The Chief Executive of MR DIY Indonesia, Edwin Cheah, stated that the company's performance was driven by the expansion of their store network, contributing to a 55.9 percent increase in gross profit margin. The company has adopted a focused and adaptive approach to ensure sustainable business resilience and long-term growth. "We remain focused on operational efficiency, understanding consumer needs, and strengthening our business fundamentals. Sustainable growth is built through consistent expansion, solid execution, and quick adaptation to market dynamics," said Edwin in a written statement quoted on Saturday, August 2, 2025.
In the first semester of 2025, MR DIY has opened 128 new stores. As of June 2025, Edwin stated that the company has a network of 1,086 stores throughout Indonesia. "This growth solidifies MR DIY's position as a leader in the household retail sector in Indonesia," he said.
Edwin added that the company achieved a net profit of Rp 507.4 billion in the first semester of 2025. He mentioned that this achievement is in line with the implementation of several strategic initiatives to maintain long-term financial performance. The company's net profit margin is currently at 13.6 percent.
Meanwhile, maintaining disciplined financial management remains the company's priority. Rika Juniaty Tanzil, the Chief Financial Officer of MR DIY Indonesia, stated that the company also adheres to disciplined financial management. The company's operational cash flow has strengthened with a 167 percent increase to Rp 533 billion. "Reflecting a stable liquidity position. The gearing ratio is at a healthy position, which is 0.4x. We continue to focus on ensuring business resilience while maintaining sustainable growth and profitability," she said.
