TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian National Police Headquarters denied that a search was conducted at the residence of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah. The alleged search reportedly took place on the night of Thursday, July 31, 2025.

Head of the Public Information Bureau at Police Headquarters, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, affirmed the statement from the Attorney General's Office (AGO) regarding the issue. "It has been answered [by the Attorney General's Office], there was no [search]. So in this case, the police also stated the same thing [that there was no search]," Trunoyudo said on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

Trunoyudo also confirmed that police had coordinated with other relevant institutions to clarify the matter. "Of course, we jointly clarify from various institutions," Trunoyudo said in a written statement.

Previously, Tempo had contacted Trunoyudo to confirm the alleged search at Febrie's house. At that time, however, he claimed to have no knowledge of the incident. "I don't know [about the search]," he told Tempo.

Anang Supriatna, Head of the Information Center of the Attorney General's Office, had also previously denied the alleged search at Febrie's house and questioned the source of the information. "Where is the source [of the information]? The source must be clear. Until today, there is none," he said, as quoted by Antara.

It was reported that Febrie's residence, located on Radio I Street, Kramat Pela, South Jakarta, was being closely guarded by 5 to 10 Indonesian Military (TNI) personnel on Friday, August 1, 2025. The soldiers were in full uniform, armed with long-barreled weapons, and wore green and purple berets indicating their unit.

According to information gathered by Tempo, the tight security by TNI personnel was related to a planned but failed search at Febrie Adriansyah's house on Thursday. The search was also reportedly planned at a cafe owned by Febrie and managed by a businessman with the initials FYH.

FYH had previously been followed by a member of the Indonesian National Police's Counterterrorism Special Detachment (Densus 88), Briptu FF, at the Borobudur Hotel. Aware of being watched, FYH then reported the incident to a senior TNI officer.

The senior TNI officer subsequently dispatched several members of the TNI Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) to the location. Around 2:00 p.m., after an interrogation took place, the Densus 88 member was taken by BAIS TNI.
