TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The South Jakarta Metro Police questioned Ira Mesra, the kitchen partner of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program at the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Kalibata, South Jakarta.

The questioning followed a police report she filed roughly a week prior.

According to Tempo’s observation, the examination began at 10:00 AM WIB (Western Indonesia Time) on Friday, April 18, 2025. Ira exited the station around 07:25 PM offering few remarks due to fatigue.

"I have submitted all the evidence (to the investigators)," said Ira Mesra after the examination at the South Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters on Friday night, April 18, 2025.

Investigators asked Ira 28 questions, while her legal counsel, Danna Harly Putra, was presented with 21.

"The points of the examination more or less asked about the chronology and the most highlighted was about the difference between the agreement and its implementation in the field," said Harly.

Ira had filed the report on Thursday, April 10, 2025, claiming she hadn’t received any payment since her kitchen began serving MBG meals in February.

"We reported based on Article 372 and 378 of the Criminal Code concerning fraud and embezzlement," Harly explained.

She previously stated she had suffered losses amounting to Rp975,375,000, calculated from around 65,025 meal portions prepared in two stages.

In addition to providing food, in this case, Ira also bore all operational costs, ranging from food ingredients, rent, electricity, kitchen equipment, to paying the cooks. However, until now, said Harly, not a single penny had been received by Ira from the MBG foundation.

"Therefore, against the action of the foundation that has not paid a single penny of our client's rights in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal, we will take legal action," said Harly at a press conference in Kalibata on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
