Prabowo Extends Eid Greetings, Hosts Open House at Presidential Palace

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto extended his Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah greetings to all Muslims in Indonesia and across the world.

His message was delivered through a video broadcast on the official YouTube channel of the Presidential Secretariat on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

"I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and personally, extend Eid al-Fitr greetings for 1 Shawwal 1446 Hijriah to all Muslims in the homeland and around the world," said Prabowo.

Prabowo highlighted the significance of Eid al-Fitr as a moment of victory following a month of fasting during Ramadan. He expressed that this year’s Eid al-Fitr serves as an opportunity for Muslims to strengthen bonds and uphold virtuous values.

"After a month of observing the fast during Ramadan, the time has come for us to celebrate victory. Eid al-Fitr is a sacred moment to forgive each other, strengthen bonds, and reaffirm our commitment to becoming better individuals, more patient, and more caring towards others," he said.

He also urged all Indonesians to make Eid al-Fitr a force to strengthen unity and social solidarity. According to him, the values embedded in the celebration of Eid al-Fitr should be the foundation for building a more just and prosperous nation.

Enclosed in this noble moment are prayers and hopes for the Eid al-Fitr celebration to bring blessings to all Indonesians.

"Minal aidin wal faizin. Please forgive me, physically and spiritually," said Prabowo.

President Prabowo will hold an open house at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta after performing the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Istiqlal Mosque in Central Jakarta on March 31, 2025.

Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media at the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, stated that after performing the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Istiqlal Mosque, President Prabowo will proceed to Istana Merdeka to hold the open house.

"This event is a platform for President Prabowo to engage in a gathering with state officials, ambassadors of friendly countries, national figures, and the general public," said Yusuf in his official statement on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Yusuf mentioned that the open house will commence at 09.00 AM WIB (Western Indonesia Time).

The general public can attend the open house at the Presidential Palace through the main gate of the State Secretariat Ministry, Jalan Majapahit, Central Jakarta.
