Pramono Anung Optimistic Jakarta Fair 2025 Will Exceed Rp7.5tn in Transactions

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo is confident that the total transactions at the Jakarta Fair (Pekan Raya Jakarta) this year will reach trillions of rupiah. Jakarta Fair 2025 is the first event during Pramono's tenure as the governor of the capital city.

According to Pramono, the total transactions at the Jakarta Fair last year reached Rp7.5 trillion, with 6.3 million recorded as visitors. "As the governor of Jakarta, I hope this year's transactions exceed Rp7.5 trillion," said Pramono during the opening night of Jakarta Fair 2025 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

According to Pramono, the Jakarta Fair this year will run shorter than the previous one, since the venue was used for Indo Defence 2025 from June 11-14. 

Nevertheless, Pramono is optimistic that the Jakarta Fair will be a success. "Even though it is held for a shorter period," said the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) politician. "Looking at the public interest and facilities present at the venue, hopefully we can exceed the targets."

Several officials also attended the launch of Jakarta Fair 2025, among them was the Coordinating Minister for People's Empowerment, Muhaimin Iskandar, who said he was representing President Prabowo Subianto, who was overseas at the time.

Muhaimin stated that Jakarta Fair is one of the legendary events in Indonesia. "This must be sustained, and we want it to become a meeting point between international and local business players and SMEs," he said.

Jakarta Fair is an exhibition held in conjunction with the celebration of Jakarta's anniversary. On June 22, 2025, Jakarta will celebrate its 498th anniversary. Jakarta Fair 2025 will take place from June 19 to July 13.

This annual event carries the concept of a one-stop shopping and entertainment experience. More than 2,700 tenants from various industrial sectors, ranging from automotive, electronics, fashion, and household appliances to Indonesian culinary, are present at Jakarta Fair.
