TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - "Silent Hill: Townfall" has been confirmed as a PlayStation 5 (PS5) console exclusive for at least six months following its launch on September 24, 2026, while the PC version will be available from day one.
According to the game's official trailer—as quoted by Gizchina on Friday, August 21, 2026, and cited by Antara—"Townfall" is designated as a "PlayStation 5 Console Exclusive" and will not be available on other consoles for at least six months after its launch date.
Consequently, the PS5 will be the only console to host "Townfall" at launch, although the game will also be available on PC.
There is no official confirmation yet regarding an Xbox release for "Townfall" after the console exclusivity period ends. The six-month timeframe merely indicates the minimum duration of the PS5 exclusivity and does not guarantee a specific release date for the Xbox version.
"Townfall" is being developed by Screen Burn Interactive (formerly known as No Code) and co-published by Konami and Annapurna Interactive.
The game introduces several changes compared to previous "Silent Hill" titles. The story takes place in 1996 on St. Amelia, a fictional island in Scotland.
Players follow the story of Simon Ordell, an American man who returns to the island in an attempt to set things right.
"Townfall" also marks the first major "Silent Hill" game to be played entirely from a first-person perspective.
Previous "Silent Hill" titles have employed varying exclusivity strategies. The "Silent Hill 2 Remake" was released for PS5 and PC first before eventually becoming available on Xbox.
In contrast, "Silent Hill f" did not follow a similar exclusivity pattern, as it launched simultaneously on PS5, Xbox, and PC.
Given the minimum six-month PS5 exclusivity period, "Townfall" could theoretically arrive on other consoles as early as late March 2027. However, there has been no confirmation to date that an Xbox version will launch during that timeframe. "Silent Hill: Townfall" is scheduled for release on September 24, 2026, for PS5 and PC.
