TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Soekarno-Hatta Airport's Terminal 1C is scheduled to fully reopen on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Beyond its new look, the revitalized terminal's capacity has increased significantly, from 3 million to 10 million passengers per year.
Heru Karyadi, General Manager of the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Branch Office, stated that the terminal's new look integrates modern elements with traditional Indonesian touches. The modern and characterful interior design, featuring distinctive Terminal 1 architectural elements like terracotta bricks and local ornaments, is integrated with modern spatial planning and the latest technology to support enhanced passenger facilities.
Heru explained that the hybrid design, combining modern and traditional elements, is intended not only to enhance the terminal's appearance but also to reflect Indonesia's characteristic warmth, providing every passenger with comfort and a distinctive Soekarno-Hatta Airport experience.
"The renovation of Terminal 1C also reflects Soekarno-Hatta Airport's commitment to providing modern facilities without forsaking Indonesia's distinctive character," Heru said on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Branch Office confirmed the full readiness of Terminal 1C, which will commence full operations on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. This move is part of an effort to enhance services and terminal capacity to ensure the smooth flow of flight activities.
Heru stated that the full operation of Terminal 1C is a crucial step in improving service quality for airport users. "We see this as not just an operational arrangement, but as part of an effort to provide a more comfortable, seamless, and memorable travel experience for all users," Heru noted.
Citilink: Centralized Domestic Operations
According to Heru, Terminal 1C will centrally serve all domestic Citilink flights. While the terminal has been serving some domestic Citilink flights since August 22, 2025, starting November 12, 2025, it will serve all of the airline's flights, thus centralizing all Citilink departures and arrivals in one area.
Heru stated that this move aligns with the airport's rebalancing policy, which involves the equitable distribution of operational burdens and services among terminals. This management strategy allows each terminal to function optimally, providing a smoother and more comfortable experience for all users. Heru confirmed that all operational aspects and services at Terminal 1C are ready to support the smooth flow of flight activities.
Soekarno-Hatta Airport encourages users, especially Citilink passengers, to verify their departure and arrival schedules following the service relocation to Terminal 1C, effective November 12, 2025. This ensures a smooth and comfortable travel experience.
