TMII People's Festival Extended, Aims for 200,000 Visitors

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The ongoing Nusantara People's Festival at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) in Jakarta has been extended until April 27, 2025. Under the theme "Exploring New Stories of 50 Years of TMII with Bank Raya," organizers aim to attract 200,000 visitors to the event.

"This is for the people, and we must collaborate to showcase the revitalized TMII," stated TMII Commercial Director Ratri Paramita at a press conference in Jakarta on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

She expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership with PT Bank Raya Indonesia Tbk in commemorating TMII's golden anniversary. "We welcome Bank Raya's support," Ratri affirmed.

She highlighted that the cashless payment options facilitated by Bank Raya at the festival would streamline transactions for visitors wishing to experience the various attractions and purchase products from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This initiative, she added, is integral to TMII's transformation into a dynamic and innovative destination for tourism and culture.

PT Bank Raya Indonesia Tbk is the principal sponsor for TMII's 50th-anniversary festivities this year. The digital banking arm of the BRI Group is providing transaction services through its Raya App for attendees of the Nusantara People's Party at TMII.

"MSMEs can better serve their customers through Bank Raya's QRIS feature, eliminating the need for cash transactions," explained Kicky Andrie Davetra, Bank Raya's Business Director, during the press conference at TMII, Jakarta, on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

The Nusantara People's Party, which commenced on April 18 and will run for ten days until April 27, sees Bank Raya actively promoting the widespread adoption of digital financial transactions. Kicky noted that Bank Raya's decision to be the primary sponsor aligns with the company's focus on reaching the micro and small business segments that frequently visit TMII. Over the ten-day event, Bank Raya has set a target of acquiring 10,000 new customer accounts from visitors.

"We are aiming for a maximum of 10,000 [new accounts]. We are hopeful for even more," he conveyed.

As part of their offerings, Bank Raya is providing attractive promotions, including a 50 percent cashback for consumers making purchases at 30 participating MSME booths.
