TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Center of Military Police of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) has declared the completion of the entire investigation process of the acid attack case against Andrie Yunus, the Deputy Coordinator of the Commission for the Disappeared and Victims of Violence (KontraS). He was attacked by four members of the Headquarters Intelligence Detachment of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (Denma Bais TNI) on March 12, 2026.
The Head of the TNI Information Center, Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, stated that the completion of the investigation process was marked by the handover of the case files to the Military Prosecutor II-07 Jakarta. "The TNI Military Police investigators have completed the entire series of investigation processes in accordance with applicable provisions," said Aulia in a written statement on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
The TNI Military Police investigators have also handed over the suspects and all evidence to the Military Prosecutor's Office. The four suspects who were transferred are NDP, SL, BHW, and ES, along with the evidence.
According to Aulia, the TNI Military Police will await the verification process of the case files conducted by the Military Prosecutor's Office. "If the files are declared complete, the case will be transferred to the Military Court II-08 Jakarta," said Aulia.
Aulia did not further explain the handover of the case files. However, it is known that investigators from the TNI Military Police have never interviewed Andrie Yunus as a victim, during the investigation process.
Previously, the TNI Military Police investigators visited Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) on March 19, 2026, to request information from Andrie Yunus. However, the plan was canceled due to the victim's incomplete recovery.
Coordinator of KontraS, Dimas Bagus Arya, stated that they rejected the idea of the TNI Military Police interrogating Andrie Yunus. "We as civil society will firmly establish a boundary," Dimas said when met at the KontraS office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
According to Dimas, if the TNI Military Police insist on interrogating Andrie, the process must be conducted with connectivity. "We encourage them to coordinate with law enforcement, namely the police and the public prosecutor's office," said Dimas.
