1. Quito, Ecuador

Located on the snowy slopes of the Andes, the capital of Ecuador may not be the most frequently visited destination. Nonetheless, its enchantment, which seems frozen in time, continually captivates the hearts of travelers.

Built upon the ruins of the Inca civilization, Quito was once a Spanish colonial city and in 1978 became one of the first sites recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Its city center presents a beautiful blend of European architecture and indigenous culture, evident in the churches, monasteries, and charming historical squares.

2. Vienna, Austria

According to The Economist, based on the annual index compiled by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), an affiliated institution of The Economist, the capital of Austria was once again crowned the most livable city in the world in 2019. It's no wonder that the city's name reappears in 2025.

3. Cape Town, South Africa

Rising in rank from the previous year, Cape Town now holds a higher position with a significantly increased score of 96.10. This vibrant port city is nestled between the ocean and a range of mountains, offering spectacular views from the summit of Table Mountain, accessible by cable car, to the adorable penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

Melbourne is not only attractive because of the warmth of its residents, but also because of its good public transportation system, excellent public facilities, and ideal work-life balance. These factors make Melbourne one of the most livable cities in the world.

However, Melbourne is known for its unpredictable weather and is often called the "city with four seasons in a day." Nonetheless, its charm can still be enjoyed throughout the year by understanding the character of each season.
