TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has overhauled the ranks of senior officials, equivalent to Echelon I, to strengthen the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program. In total, five officials joined the agency's new structure.
BGN Deputy Head Agustina Arumsari said the five officials were directly appointed by President Prabowo Subianto through a presidential decree on Monday, July 20, 2026. "Yesterday, we received a presidential decree signed by Mr. President appointing them as senior officials in the BGN," said Agustina in a press conference at the office in Jakarta on Tuesday.
She mentioned that the five officials are from various institutions. First, there is Prima Yosephine Berliana Tumiur Hutapea who was appointed as Deputy of the System and Governance Sector, replacing Tigor Pangaribuan. Before serving as a BGN official, Prima was the Director of Infectious Diseases at the Ministry of Health.
Prima will be tasked with improving the targeting of beneficiary data. "Starting from target planning, target setting, distribution from the center to service facilities, recording beneficiaries by name and address, to monitoring and evaluating the program's achievements," said Agustina.
Additionally, Prabowo appointed Zainuri as Deputy of the Provision and Distribution Sector, replacing Suardi Samira. Zainuri was an auditor who had previously worked with Agustina in the Head of the Financial Bureau of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency.
Next, the third official appointed is Mariman Darto as Deputy of Promotion and Cooperation Sector, who previously served as an Expert Staff in Talent Management. Then, there is a former Head of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office, Ketut Sumedana, who was appointed as Deputy of Monitoring and Supervision Sector, and Lili Khamiliyah, who was moved from the BGN Head of the General and Financial Bureau to become the Chief Secretary.
