TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - South Korea dominated the Badminton Asia Championships 2026 in Ningbo, China, on Sunday, April 12, 2026, winning three titles in women’s singles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles.

Olympic champion An Se-young led the charge in women’s singles, defeating China’s Wang Zhiyi in a three-game final 21-12, 17-21, 21-18. The victory also avenged her defeat in the All England final earlier this year.

South Korea’s dominance continued in men’s doubles, where Kim Won-ho and Seo Seung-jae beat compatriots Kang Min-hyuk and Ki Dong-ju 21-13, 21-17, extending their unbeaten run since last October.

The third title came in mixed doubles, as Kim Jae-hyeon and Jang Ha-jeong were awarded the win after their Thai opponents withdrew due to injury.

Hosts China finished with two titles. World number one Shi Yuqi claimed the men’s singles crown after beating India’s Ayush Shetty 21-8, 21-10. China also took the women’s doubles title through Li Yijing and Luo Xumin, after compatriots Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning withdrew from the final.

Indonesia finished without a title, settling for two bronze medals in men’s doubles (Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri) and women’s doubles (Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi), marking a result that offers material for evaluation ahead of upcoming major tournaments.
