TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Danantara Indonesia's investment holding, PT Danantara Investment Management (DIM), has officially been accepted as an Associate Member of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF). This comes after Danantara's membership application was approved by the IFSWF Board at the beginning of 2026.
Danantara Indonesia's Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Pandu Sjahrir stated that the acceptance of Danantara into IFSWF reflects Indonesia's commitment to world-class governance, transparency, and accountability.
"As a manager of Indonesia's national assets, we are determined to build an institution that meets the highest international standards so that we can fulfill the investment mandate for the Indonesian people," Pandu said as stated in the official statement in Jakarta, Thursday, July 16, 2026, as cited from Antara.
Pandu mentioned that DIM's membership in IFSWF marks the institution's commitment to implementing international best practices in governance, transparency, and responsible investment for Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF).
As an Associate Member, DIM joins the global network of SWFs committed to upholding the Santiago Principles, which are 24 universally recognized Principles and Practices as international standards for governance, investment, and risk management for SWFs.
Membership in IFSWF opens up opportunities for DIM to engage in knowledge exchange with leading SWFs worldwide and participate in various programs and share perspectives organized by the Forum. Additionally, it aligns its governance framework with global standards to ensure the highest level of transparency and accountability.
"We are delighted to welcome Danantara Indonesia as a member of IFSWF. Since its establishment, Danantara Indonesia has shown a strong commitment to good governance, professionalism, transparency, and will be a valuable member of our community," said Chief Executive of IFSWF, Duncan Bonfield.
Danantara plans to leverage its Associate Member status to strengthen its engagement with the global sovereign investor community within the Forum.
This involvement includes efforts to align with the Santiago Principles' self-assessment process as part of strengthening institutional governance.
