TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Juventus held AC Milan to a 1-1 draw in Matchweek 3 of the 2026/27 Italian League (Serie A) season at the Allianz Stadium on Monday, September 7, 2026.
Federico Gatti rescued the Bianconeri with a goal in stoppage time, after AC Milan had taken the lead through Alphadjo Cisse.
The result leaves AC Milan in fourth place in the provisional standings with seven points from three matches.
Juventus sits right behind them with the same number of points but an inferior goal difference, according to the official Lega Serie A website as cited by Antara.
The teams played out a goalless first half before the drama unfolded in the second.
Juventus threatened first through Francisco Conceicao in the 25th minute. The Portuguese winger cut in from the right flank and unleashed a shot that Mike Maignan managed to parry; Manuel Locatelli failed to capitalize on the rebound.
Conceicao troubled the Milan defense again a few minutes later. This time, he fired from a tight angle towards the near post, but Maignan once again made the save.
In the second half, Juventus remained the more active side in search of a goal. Conceicao had another opportunity after Locatelli capitalized on an error by Yunus Musah.
The midfielder played the ball to Conceicao, but unfortunately, his shot struck the goalpost.
Milan managed to break the deadlock in the 68th minute. Substitute Cisse received a pass from Samuel Chukwueze before firing from a tight angle; the ball found the back of the Juventus net, making it 1-0.
Juventus increased the pressure after falling behind. Nick Woltemade had a chance to capitalize on a loose ball in the penalty area, but his shot sailed over the Milan crossbar.
Juventus's efforts finally paid off in the 90+2 minute. Teun Koopmeiners delivered a cross from the left into the box, and substitute Federico Gatti—who had come on in the 88th minute—found himself unmarked and headed the ball past Maignan. The goal ensured Juventus avoided a home defeat. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
