TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - BLACKPINK's Lisa is preparing to return with new solo music, following the release of the group's EP Deadline earlier this year.
The K-pop star is set to release her first-ever EP, Press Play, this fall. The six-track project will mark another major step in Lisa's solo career as BLACKPINK's four members continue pursuing individual projects alongside their group activities.
Lisa will kick off the EP rollout with a new single, “SaWaDiKa,” on September 3.
When Will Lisa's Press Play Be Released?
According to Time Out Worldwide, Lisa's Press Play EP is scheduled for release on October 23, 2026.
The project will contain six tracks, although the full tracklist has yet to be revealed.
Before the EP arrives, Lisa gave fans a preview of “SaWaDiKa” on TikTok on August 28. The teaser showed the singer in a boxing ring, dressed in sporty attire as she performed a snippet of the energetic track.
The song's preview also highlighted Lisa's signature confident style, with lyrics referencing Geneva, a Ferrari and her persona as “La Lalisa, la diva.”
What Is Lisa's First Song From the EP?
“SaWaDiKa” will be the first song released from Press Play, arriving on September 3.
The title draws attention to Thai culture, with “sawadika” commonly associated with the Thai greeting “sawasdee ka.” The release will give fans their first full taste of Lisa's new musical direction ahead of the EP.
What Has Lisa Said About Press Play?
Lisa has not publicly discussed the EP in detail. However, she previously revealed that she was working on new music in the United States.
ELLE mentioned that in a June 2026 interview with Vanity Fair, Lisa said she had been working on a “new album.” The project was also linked to her Las Vegas residency, Viva La Lisa, with the singer looking to introduce new material as part of the show.
The upcoming EP therefore arrives as Lisa continues to expand her solo career beyond BLACKPINK.
How Does Press Play Fit Into BLACKPINK's Activities?
Lisa is not the only BLACKPINK member releasing new music this year.
Jennie released her EP Fallen Angel on August 28, while Jisoo is scheduled to release “Click” on September 4. Rosé, meanwhile, has been spotted working at a recording studio over the past year.
With the four members pursuing individual releases while remaining active as BLACKPINK, 2026 is shaping up to be another busy year for the group.
