TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto has completed a series of state visits to Russia and France, arriving back in Indonesia on Wednesday afternoon, April 15, 2026.
A live broadcast from the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel showed the head of state and his entourage landing at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta. Prabowo appeared wearing a light brown safari shirt paired with a dark blue cap.
At the foot of the presidential plane's stairs, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka stood to welcome Prabowo's arrival. In addition to Gibran, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Indonesian Military Commander General Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Head of the National Intelligence Agency Muhammad Herindra were also present to greet the President.
Prabowo was seen shaking hands with the officials who had gathered to receive him. The President and his aides briefly conversed for a few moments.
Afterward, Prabowo entered the presidential vehicle. The white Maung SUV, bearing the RI 1 license plate, then departed from the Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase.
President Prabowo conducted a brief two-day visit to both Russia and France. On April 13, 2026, Prabowo visited the Kremlin Palace in Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In a meeting lasting a total of five hours, Prabowo and Putin discussed enhancing cooperation across various fields, including energy, space, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, education, and trade. Prabowo also consulted with Putin regarding the global geopolitical situation.
Following his intensive meeting with Putin in Moscow, Prabowo continued his state visit to Paris, France. Prabowo arrived in Paris on Monday night, April 13, 2026, at 23:50 local time.

President Prabowo and Macron discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in several sectors during their meeting. This cooperation included matters related to the procurement of defense equipment and the bolstering of the defense industry, energy transition and renewable energy development, infrastructure and transportation, as well as education and the creative economy.
