Rain Expected in Jakarta This Afternoon, BMKG Reports

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts that Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi will be mostly cloudy today, Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

However, there is still a potential for light to heavy rain in Jakarta, Bogor, and Depok. The official BMKG website and Instagram account released this weather forecast.

Light to moderate rain is expected in West Jakarta from 13:00 to 19:00 WIB (Western Indonesia Time). South Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta also have the potential for light to moderate rain from 13:00 to 16:00 WIB. Central Jakarta is likely to experience light rain at 16:00, while the Thousand Islands are expected to experience rain at 22:00 WIB.

Overall, the temperature in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta is expected to range from 24-31 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds around 1-18 kilometers per hour.

In West Java, light to heavy rains are possible in Bogor regency, Bogor, and Depok cities from 13:00 to 16:00 WIB. During the same period, Bekasi Regency and Bekasi City are expecting only light rain.

The temperature in Bogor Regency ranges between 17-31 degrees Celsius, while in other areas it ranges from 20-31 degrees Celsius. The wind speed is between 5-8 kilometers per hour.

In the Banten region, including Tangerang Regency, Tangerang City, and South Tangerang, it is expected to be mostly cloudy. The temperature is 24-26 degrees Celsius with 87-95 percent humidity.
