TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The United States government has revoked the visas of 6 foreign nationals found making comments on social media that were deemed to "celebrate" the murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, as stated by the U.S. Department of State.

"The United States has no obligation to host foreigners who wish death on Americans," said the U.S. Department of State through social media on Tuesday, as quoted by Antara.

The U.S. Department of State stated that "aliens who take advantage of America’s hospitality while celebrating the assassination of our citizens will be removed."

The identities of the six foreign nationals were not disclosed, but it is known that each of them is from one of the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Paraguay, or South Africa.

In their posts on social media X, the U.S. Department of State shared screenshots of the foreign nationals' comments and stated that their visas have been revoked.

The announcement comes after U.S. President Donald Trump posthumously awarded the Medal of Freedom to Charlie Kirk, whom he referred to as "a great American hero" and "a martyr for freedom."

Charlie Kirk, who was supposed to turn 32 years old today, was shot dead on September 10 while engaging in a dialogue with students at Utah Valley University in the city of Orem, 64 kilometers south of Salt Lake City, the capital of the state of Utah.

The suspected shooter, Tyler Robinson (22), was immediately arrested after the incident and is currently in custody.
