The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has opened a special visitation service for family or relatives of detainees at the KPK Detention Center. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that this service is part of the commemoration of Indonesia's 80th Independence Day on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
"Visits by family and relatives can be conducted from 10:00 to 12:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time)," Budi said in a written statement on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Budi explained that for food delivery services or additional boxes, the KPK opens opportunities from 09:00 to 11:00 WIB.
He emphasized that this special service is a fulfillment of basic rights for KPK detainees. The implementation will adhere to the standard operational procedures and visitation regulations at the KPK Detention Center.
During the 80th Independence Day celebration, a ceremony commemorating the proclamation of independence will be held at the State Palace, Central Jakarta. "President Prabowo Subianto will be the inspecting officer," said the Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), Hasan Nasbi, at his office, Kwarnas Building, Jakarta, on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
The ceremony will be attended by state officials, cabinet members, and representatives from friendly nations. It will also be attended by 16,000 citizens. Following the ceremony, a public festivity will be held around the palace area. The festivities will take place in two sessions on August 17, 2025. The first session will be from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB and the second session from 16.00 to 22.00 WIB.
