TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Como 1907 managed to silence Napoli with a 2-1 victory on Matchday 2 of the 2026/27 Italian League (Serie A) season at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium early Monday morning (WIB).
Martin Baturina and Anastasios Douvikas scored for Como, while Napoli pulled one back through Rasmus Hojlund.
This victory lifts Como to fourth place in the provisional standings with four points.
Meanwhile, Napoli suffered their first defeat of the season. The Partenopei now sit in ninth place with three points from two matches, according to the official legaseriea website.
Indonesian national team goalkeeper Emil Audero Mulyadi did not start for Como; coach Cesc Fabregas opted for Jean Butez to guard the visiting team's goal.
Como played effectively and took the lead in the 17th minute. Baturina received a cut-back pass from Assane Diao inside the penalty area. He then turned before unleashing a right-footed shot that found the back of Alex Meret's net.
Napoli attempted to respond and managed to equalize in the 30th minute. Hojlund fired a low left-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area that Butez was unable to stop.
The 1-1 scoreline did not last long.
Como regained the lead in the 34th minute after Douvikas capitalized on a defensive error by Napoli. The Greek forward then fired a right-footed shot to put Como 2-1 ahead.
Napoli increased the pressure after halftime in an attempt to overturn the deficit. The Partenopei thought they had scored in stoppage time through Lobotka, who pounced on the ball inside the penalty area.
However, the goal was disallowed by the referee; David Neres was judged to have committed a foul on Alex Valle during the build-up.
Napoli failed to equalize, and the 2-1 scoreline in favor of Como 1907 held until the final whistle.
