TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Indonesia's massive sovereign wealth fund and super-holding company for state assets, Danantara, hosted a visit by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and members of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) to strengthen international collaboration to support the acceleration of SOE transformation, increased investment, and national development.
"We want SOE transformation to proceed more quickly. Therefore, it is important for us to open up collaboration with global partners like the Tony Blair Institute," said Dony Oskaria, Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara, in an official statement confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by Rosan Roeslani, CEO of Danantara and Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Dony Oskaria, Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara, and Pandu Sjahrir, CIO of Danantara.
On this occasion, the two parties discussed various strategic collaboration opportunities that can support the SOE transformation agenda by strengthening governance, developing strategic sectors, and increasing Indonesia's competitiveness globally.
The discussion also covered potential collaboration in developing economic zones, accelerating industrial downstreaming, infrastructure development, digital transformation, and strengthening institutional capacity through leveraging the Tony Blair Institute's experience and global network.
This synergy is expected to foster best practices, expand access to quality investment, and accelerate the implementation of various national strategic programs.
During the meeting, Dony Oskaria emphasized that collaboration with global partners is a crucial part of strengthening the transformation of SOEs.
"There are many experiences and practices that we can adapt to optimize the results and truly add value to Indonesia," said Dony.
BP BUMN, together with Danantara, continues to strengthen collaboration with various international strategic partners as part of the effort to build SOEs that are increasingly professional, globally competitive, and capable of driving sustainable national economic growth.
