TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Starting June 1, 2026, companies exporting commodities are required to report their exports to PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI). However, the Indonesian government has not yet announced the complete lineup of management for the state-owned exporting company.
Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara Indonesia, Dony Oskaria, stated that Danantara is still conducting a rigorous selection process related to Human Resources (HR) who will join Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia,"We are in the process of a stringent selection process related to Human Resources (HR) who will later join Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia," he said in a press conference preparing for the operational PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia in Jakarta, on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
Previously, Danantara announced the name of Luke Thomas Mahony, an Australian citizen who has served as the Director of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk, as the chair of PT DSI. The Head of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Regulator stated that new names will be announced in the first week of the transition period which will begin on June 1. "Hopefully, next week there will be several more names announced by Danantara to become part of the team," said Dony.
Furthermore, Dony mentioned that Danantara will involve several ministries to assist in the selection of HR at PT DSI. "We are also assisted by the Ministry of Finance, placing people among Indonesian resources, the Ministry of Trade, and also the Investment Coordinating Board," he said.
Dony ensures that the process of appointing management is not only carried out by Danantara but also by stakeholders involved in the export arrangement process. Thus, PT DSI can operate in accordance with good, transparent, and accountable governance. This step becomes the main benchmark so that the one-door export management does not become a new problem or just a transfer of problems.
