TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Rosan Roeslani, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Danantara Investment Management Agency, stated that Danantara will be involved in decision-making within the Financial Sector Stability Committee (KSSK) following the resignation of Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo.
"So, the KSSK has been asked to involve Danantara in every decision-making process, so that it has a direct impact on the economy and businesses, not just on the fiscal and monetary side," Rosan said after a limited meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, July 27, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
Rosan stated that Danantara's involvement in the KSSK is aimed at expanding coordination of financial sector policies to consider not only fiscal and monetary aspects, but also their impact on the economy and the business world.
"So, it's more about the whole ecosystem. So the directive is KKSK Plus, Plus Danantara," Rosan said.
He said this directive was part of the coordination carried out after President Prabowo held a limited meeting with several parties, including the acting Governor of Bank Indonesia, Destry Damayanti.
When asked whether Danantara would attend the government's regular economic team meetings, Rosan confirmed that the directive referred to Danantara's involvement in every meeting. "Yes, that's the directive," Rosan said.
Previously, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi announced Perry Warjiyo's resignation as Governor of Bank Indonesia, which was announced this Monday morning. The government has accepted Perry's resignation letter and has temporarily appointed BI Senior Deputy Governor Destry Damayanti as acting Governor of Bank Indonesia.
Rosan emphasized that Danantara had not submitted a name for the permanent BI Governor position. He stated that determining the candidate for BI Governor is the President's prerogative. "Oh no, that's the President's prerogative," Rosan said.
Perry Warjiyo resigned from his position as Governor of Bank Indonesia after serving for approximately seven years. The government stated that the resignation was voluntary for personal reasons, while the process for filling the permanent BI Governor position will follow applicable legal mechanisms and provisions.
