TEMPO.CO, Jakarta The Indonesian U-17 national team closed their friendly match against the Malaysian U-17 national team with a 3-0 victory at Manahan Stadium, Solo, on Tuesday, after the two teams had drawn 1-1 in their first match three days earlier.

All three goals for the Garuda Muda victory came in the first half, through Haikal Kamil Ramadhan in the 10th minute, Dhrama Try Kusuma in the 20th minute, and I Dewa Gede Majesta in the 42nd minute.

Indonesia, under new coach David Nascimento, played very well in the first half, taking the lead in the 10th minute when a cutback from Chico Jericho Yarangga was expertly finished by Haikal.

In the 14th minute, Ichiro Akbar, moving on the left side of the Indonesian attack, created a chance with a shot from outside the penalty area, but it was saved by Malaysian U-17 goalkeeper Muhammad Atiff.

The Garuda Muda then extended their lead in the 20th minute. Starting with a long pass to Dhamar, he fired a shot from a tight angle, but it was enough to outwit Atiff for a second time.

Three minutes before halftime, Indonesia scored their third goal through Majesta, who received a rebound from Chico Jericho's shot that hit the post. The score remained at three goals to nil for the first half.

Entering the second half, Indonesia, who had a commanding lead, played more comfortably. They nearly scored a fourth goal in the 60th minute when a beautiful piece of play from the Young Garudas left Chico Jericho free and one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper.

Unfortunately, the number 19 was unable to capitalize on this opportunity, as was Majesta's rebound. Both of Indonesia's golden opportunities were thwarted by Malaysian substitute goalkeeper Adam Nurfakrullah.

In the second half, Malaysia were reduced to 10 men after substitute Adam Muqri received a red card for a violent foul on Chico Jericho.

The score remained at three goals to nil for Indonesia.

The following is the starting lineup for the Indonesian U17 national team:

Indonesian U17 National Team: Syahdan Cesar (GK); Pradipta Arya Zidano, Faiz Hikmal Kurniawan, Ramadhan Putra Negara (C), Allekay Kaisar Ramdhan; Melki Alvando Caussy, Chico Jericho Yarangga, Haikal Kamil Ramadhan, I Dewa Gede Majesta, Ichiro Akbar, Dhamar Try Kusuma.

Coach: David Nascimento.
