TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortastipidkor) of the Indonesian National Police, along with the Jakarta Metro Police, raided a house in Parahyangan Golf 2, Sentul, Bogor Regency. From a safe in the house, the police seized evidence worth around Rp476 billion.
"A locked safe was found containing seven suitcases," said the Head of Kortastipidkor of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto in Sentul, early Thursday, July 9, 2026. Tempo has obtained permission to quote Totok's statement.
Totok said the seven suitcases contained 74 kilograms of gold and cash amounting to US$4,767,300. The police also found money totaling 14,083,800 Singapore dollars (SGD) and Rp100 million. According to Totok, the total value of the evidence found reached around Rp476 billion.
In addition to gold and cash, the police seized a number of documents, including mobile phones. Investigators also secured several family photos believed to be related to the owner of the house or the owner of the items in the safe. However, Totok is still reluctant to reveal the identity of the owner of the items.
