TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government is granting free admission to 11 museums and cultural sites managed by the Jakarta Culture Agency to celebrate the city's 499th Anniversary.
According to information shared on the Jakarta Culture Agency's Instagram account @disbuddki, this program will last for three days, on June 22, 27, and 28, 2026.
"Let's enjoy free entry to museums managed by the Jakarta Culture Agency," wrote the Jakarta Culture Agency in its post.
The Jakarta Culture Agency invites the public to take advantage of the Jakarta anniversary celebration to get a closer look at the capital's history, Betawi culture, art, and the stories of the nation's past struggle preserved in various museums.
This program provides an opportunity for residents and tourists alike to visit various museums and historical sites in Jakarta at no cost.
As previously stated by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, "We will provide free access to LRT, MRT, and Transjakarta transportation. This also includes entry to Ancol and government-managed museums in Jakarta," said Pramono Anung on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
Pramono stated that this policy is part of the Jakarta anniversary celebration aimed at expanding public access to the city's cultural and historical spaces.
People can visit 11 museums and cultural sites without charge, including the following:

3. Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics
4. Maritime Museum
5. Onrust Archaeological Museum
6. Rumah Si Pitung Marunda
7. Fatahillah Museum
8. MH Thamrin Museum

11. Betawi Museum
