TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia remained in third place in the provisional medal standings at the 2025 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games as of the fourth day of competition on Friday, December 12. The Indonesian contingent trailed Vietnam, which sat in second place, by four gold medals.
On Friday alone, Indonesia added 16 medals—seven gold, five silver, and four bronze—boosting its overall tally to 72 medals. According to Antara, the Red and White contingent had collected 20 gold medals, 28 silver medals, and 24 bronze medals by the end of the fourth day.
Host nation Thailand continued to dominate the medal table, widening its lead with 66 gold medals, 43 silver medals, and 28 bronze medals. Vietnam followed in second place with 24 gold medals, 17 silver medals, and 43 bronze medals, maintaining a narrow gap over Indonesia.
Singapore held fourth place, five gold medals behind Indonesia, with a total of 15 gold, 16 silver, and 18 bronze medals. The Philippines remained in fifth place with 11 gold medals, 16 silver medals, and 35 bronze medals.
Medal Tally on the Fourth Day
Indonesia’s seven gold medals on Friday came from a strong showing across several sports, led by judo, which contributed three gold medals. Dinny Febriany claimed gold in the women’s 52–57 kilogram category, Syerina topped the women’s 63–70 kilogram division, and Muhammad Rizqi Maulana triumphed in the men’s -55 kilogram event.
Gymnastics also delivered a gold medal through Abiyu Rafi, who won the men’s horizontal bar. The discipline added two silver medals, earned by Satria Tri Wira Yudha in the horizontal bar and Muhammad Aprizal in the rings, as well as a bronze medal from Salsabila Hadi Pamungkas in the women’s floor exercise.
In athletics, Indonesia secured a gold–silver finish in the women’s 100-meter hurdles. Dina Aulia took gold, while Emilia Nova claimed silver in the same event.
Sport climbing was another highlight, contributing two gold medals. Ardana Cikal Damarwulan won the men’s lead event, while Alma Ariella Tsany topped the women’s lead category. The sport also added a silver medal from Sukma Lintang Cahyani in the women’s lead and a bronze medal from Cesar Mahesa in the men’s lead.
