The annual celebration returns to the National Stadium for the first time in a decade, featuring a larger audience capacity, a first-ever indoor drone light show, massive special effects, fireworks, and patriotic performances.
Held every year on August 9, Singapore's National Day commemorates the country's independence from Malaysia in 1965. The celebration transforms the city-state with red-and-white decorations, patriotic songs, and community events, with NDP serving as the highlight of the festivities.

What Is National Day Parade?

Organisers said it will also be the largest indoor special effects presentation ever staged for NDP.

NDP tickets are free and distributed through a ballot system.
Singapore citizens and permanent residents applied through the official NDP website using Singpass.

Applicants could request two, four, or six tickets for either the preview shows or the main parade.

Are There Other National Day Events?
Yes. Although the parade is the main attraction, Singapore will host various activities leading up to August 9 as part of the National Day celebrations.
Highlights include the Majulah Treasure Hunt, a nationwide treasure hunt featuring more than 61 locations that will run until August 10, with participants able to win prizes such as August mascot plush toys and digital stickers.
Other community activities include the Istana Open House on July 26, the SportSG Sports Carnival from July 25 to August 9, and live performances and fireworks at The Kallang Stadium Riverside Walk from July 25 to August 9.
Singaporeans can also collect free national flags from selected community clubs, CapitaLand malls, and Courts stores.
Can You Watch NDP Without Tickets?
Yes. While entry into the National Stadium requires a ticket, visitors can still experience the National Day atmosphere around the wider Kallang precinct.
